Anyone know roughly how wide that piling is? Sorry I have never fished Lakeworth (soon hopefully).

Definitely over 12ft, i have a pic of my 10ft tiger on those same pilings and that shark dwarfs my tiger

Just an average fisherman.

I cant see the second piling, I meant the width of the concrete piling itself. But the other gentlemen has been there and gave a good reference against a shark he caught. Amazing catch man, congrats!

Looks to be more in 10 ft range.

I had in January an 9.5ft-10ft hammer there, and looked smaller on a 4/0 2h fight.
This shark looks easy in +12ft range.
If you fished from Lake Worth Pier and never caught a hammer from there you can't really judge the size of a shark from a picture, unless you had that experience before.
There are many things that comes into play here, the distance from were you are taking the picture to the water level, the size of the piling versus the girth of the shark, the zoom of the camera (there is no zoom in thous two pictures) etc.
If at that time would've be two more people to help him, there would be better pictures taken, since this shark would be beached, for sure!
